AICAR BUSINESS SCHOOL (Asian Institute of Communication and Research) is
approved by AICTE offering a Two-Year Full-Time Residential PGDM.
The first Batch (2002-2004) commenced on June 01, 2002 with 82 students.
The current admissions are for the Seventh
batch (2008-2010), which will commence on July, 2008.

Where
is the Institute located?
The Institute is located at village Damat,
about 2 kms from Neral (on the foothills of Matheran Hill Station),
approximately 1.5 hours from Mumbai by car or by suburban trains between
Mumbai CST – Karjat/Khopoli. The
AICAR Campus, spread over 30 acres of picturesque natural surroundings,
has over 1.25 lac sq.ft. Of constructed area that includes the academic
classes, library, student hostels, cafeteria, residential quarters for
the full-time faculty, gymnasium, convenience store, internet labs etc.

How is AICAR different from the other

AICAR
lays a strong foundation of enhancing communication capabilities
irrespective of the specialization of the students. Communication Skills
and Business Communication are an important part of the programme and
this is enhanced by regular sessions to improve student's presentation

What will be the selection procedure?
The selection procedure consists of
Part A: Written tests of AICAR or scores of CAT, XAT, MAT, CET and ATMA
Part B: (i) GD (Group Discussion) and (ii) Personal interview (PI)
Part C: Presentation on a given topic / Case Analysis
Part D: (i) Past academic performance and (ii) Work experience.
Final selection is based on the aggregate scores in the various parts (elements) of the admissions/selection process.

Am I eligible for educational loans?
Nationalized,
private and cooperative banks have extended loans to AICAR Students. Extending loan facility by Banks is subject to the
procedure defined and terms and conditions laid down by respective
Banks. The Institute will offer all possible assistance to students
desirous of availing this facility. |

What will be the model of the written test?
The
written test, of 1½-hour duration, will comprise two sections. The
first section will comprise analyzing a business situation or writing an
essay on a topic of current importance. The time allowed will be 30
minutes. The second section will be based on the CAT module with
questions to test the English grammar and logical reasoning. |
