 Chairman’s Message

Mr. Walter Saldanha
Walter Saldanha

A much-needed breath of fresh air in the matter of education is blowing across the country. The Union Minister, HRD, under the new UPA regime appears determined to drastically modify the knowledge architecture in our country.

From basic education to higher education, the Government has announced bold and far reaching plans to improve the equality of education across the board. The Union minister’s announcements augur well, both for Indian knowledge givers and receivers.

AICAR, is naturally quite enthused about the opportunity that will be thrown up to accelerate its aim of raising the quality of its Management courses through innovation and adoption of newer techniques. Government’s plans to encourage affiliation with International Business School, presents an opportunity to rapidly upgrade management education to Internationally acceptable standards.

The Union Minister, Mr. Kapil Sibal is doing for education and knowledge disbursement in India, what could not be earlier. We should seize this opportunity with both hands by contributing to this phenomenal initiative which Indian people so direly deserve.

Being in Business Management education makes it imperative for us to also examine the need to inculcate ethical and moral values in tomorrow’s managers. In a world dominated largely by ‘how much money one can make’ it becomes imperative for us to examine ways and means to create a new breed of leaders who can serve the greater good of our country. AICAR Business School plans to do so.
